Whispers In The Wind is the true story of the experiences of a World War One regiment of the American Expeditionary Forces. It follows the men from their first days in boot camp on Long Island through the horrors on the Western Front, to their return home. It is told from two very different perspectives; that of a foot soldier and that of one of the commanding officers. The foot soldier's account is based upon his original daily hand written diary, illustrations of which are contained within the book. The commanding officer's account is based upon his obscure published memoirs. The two versions are combined yet clearly discernible. Full margin.
